Key Personnel Data
CaseManager eliminates entering key personnel names and addresses repetitively. When the system is initially set up, this information is input for the areas in which you practice. Thereafter, you never type it again. When you select a court the program knows the judge and clerk, including e-mail, fax and phone numbers.

Since CaseManager evolved from the original CrimeTime (sentence calculation) package you will find information that is simply not available anywhere else. What’s most impressive is that by specifying the charges in a case, CrimeTime is able to calculate all sorts of very important information that criminal law practitioners need.
Automated Document Generation
CaseManager automatically uses the correct “template” (master) document and fills in the names and addresses of the appropriate parties. CrimeTime stores information about the charges and appearance history, and uses it to complete the documents in CaseManager. The program knows what type of paper to use when printing. It also knows how many copies to print and whether you want it e-mailed or faxed.
Paperless Office–Document Scanning
Just select the case in the program that you want to associate with a document and place the document in the scanner. CaseManager scans the document and attaches it to the case automatically. Using this system, you can“go paperless” painlessly. View all the documents associated with a case with a single mouse click. Your entire case can be carried with you on your laptop or tablet PC. Archived cases can be stored on a small stack of compact disks (CD’s), digital video disks (DVD’s), or any other storage medium you choose.

CaseManager downloads appearances and appointments, as well as a summarized version of all of your open cases (or a subset of these cases) to your handheld device.
Subpoena Generation/Witness Management
CaseManager subpoena generation is quick and easy. Normally subpoenas and necessary supporting documents are created in less than one minute. CaseManager tracks all outstanding subpoenas. You can view this list and sort it by case, attorney, investigator, or appearance date. When a settlement disposition is entered all pending subpoenas for that case are flagged immediately.
Investigation Request Automation & Tracking
When an investigation request is prepared an investigation record is automatically logged. An investigator (or supervisor) can view all pending investigations which can be sorted by due date. Documents can be scanned and attached electronically to an investigation request. When a case settles, pending investigations are instantly flagged. E-mails can be dispatched to the investigators’ digital cell phones when they are working in the field as a notification that the case has just settled.
Flag (Warning) System
The colored "Flag" warning system alerts you to critical issues and provides legal authority.
Seamless Lexis/Westlaw links
With a single button click, CrimeTime connects to Lexis and/or Westlaw if you subscribe to those on-line research services. No need to log on, select the library and specify the search criteria – CrimeTime knows what case law you need and narrows the search for you. We even give you a quick way to do a manual search using those services.
Scheduling & Sync to Microsoft Outlook
Seamless integration with Microsoft Outlook. Your calendar is always up to date. Furthermore, your calendar can be downloaded to your Handheld device. Within seconds you can walk away with all of your appointments and appearances on your handheld device. Nothing fancy, it just works! It’s amazingly quick and simple to use.
Automatic Conflict Checking
CaseManager is constantly watching for potential problems. Not only do we flag the situation, we provide the exact wording of the law you need to review.
Ordering Priors (Military Records, Freedom of Information Act Documents, etc.)
Type into CaseManager a description of the prior conviction (date of conviction, and the prior charge(s)). Select the court. If the prior occurred in California you can simply enter the court number which is printed on the DOJ Rap Sheets. Press the order button. That’s all.
